Since 1980, we have been involved in eco-design and environmental design of buildings, alternative energy supply and use and environmentally sustainable food production design.
Eco-design services we supply include:
- Ecological/ environmentally sustainable building design (passive, high thermal mass, active solar management, and ultra low thermal mass/light construction/high insulation and 'light on the land' eco-buildings.
- Full ecological heat/cooling calculations for any buildings. Calculations are undertaken across the whole year taking into account the building's global location, daily climate variation at that location, building shape and orientation and built materials for all major building components. These eco-energy calculations show the energy and financial changes resulting from small changes in built construction, layout and building orientation to maximise environmental gains and minimise costs and energy use.
